Dark Light Oracle by Alexandra V. Bach, Carole-Anne Eschenazi

It feels like a lot of heart, soul, and genuine care went into this deck. I came expecting another thrown together, mixed media gobbledygook deck, yet I was still drawn to it, watched a flip-through, and took the plunge.

Boy was I wrong. The images are stunning: vivid, detailed, colorful, graceful, feminine, dark, and ethereal. The card stock is silky, great for pick-a-card spreads, not too shiny, medium size, slightly thin, with a dark purple evening floral patterned backing.

The book is nothing to shake a stick at (A wand maybe. Bless it with that good ish). There is a small handful of spreads, an intro, etc. The cards are reasonably intuitive on their own, yet the book includes good council, as well as affirmations for each card, with a dark to light theme throughout, perfect for shadow work. Even after a couple of readings, I feel like I have a good read of the situation, with accuracy and plenty to mull over and work on.

I think if you are serious about working through your shadow self and transmuting/levelling up this deck will prove invaluable. Surprisingly stoic.
