As we jumpstart a new year, it’s important to take a moment and reflect on how far we’ve come since January 2019. Also, to note how we’ve transformed and evolved in the past year. Times were rocky and uncertain, but we all got through 2019 together. Here’s to making 2020 an extraordinary year with new possibilities and dreams for us to conquer.

We kick off the week with a lovely Mercury and Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn today, January 2nd. Although this planetary transit yields expansive communication, it will be met with anxiety and frustration as it’s aligned with the South Node of Destiny (Mercury perfects it’s conjunction with the South Node on January 3rd which will bring havoc to our nerves and communication). The First Quarter Moon in Taurus on January 3rd sets the stage for the eclipse story that will reveal itself on January 10th. Pay attention to information today, as it will serve us well in the next week. The same day, Mars enters Sagittarius, creating a masterful weaponry of bluntness to attack those who stand in our way of success. Mars and healing asteroid Chiron, who’s retrograde in Aries, allow us to make a legitimate effort to mend wounds. The Capricorn Sun and Neptune, who’s in Pisces, softly connect on the 7th. They’ll add fantasy and enchantment to our visions, but make us feel lost in emotion. Instead of moving forward with our resolutions, we may take a step back and relapse into the past (mostly out of habit).
March 21 - April 19
It’s never too late to apologize to someone you may have wronged in the past. Being honest with your emotions isn’t a hinderance or flaw, but quite admirable. After all, it’s a new year and with that comes a chance to start fresh. Put your squabbles behind you and move forward with others. Don’t hold on to anger and drama from 2019 in 2020. Start fresh with those you care about. Live and let live.
April 20 - May 20
You’re keeping true to your intentions and now involving yourself in other people’s messes this week. Although it may be hard for you to stay by the sidelines and watch your friends pick up the pieces of their lives — it’s important for you to not get invested in their drama. You have enough stress on your plate. You need to spend your time focusing on elevating yourself to a place of power and well-being.
May 21 - June 20
PSA: Drama may be on the horizon this week. The only way to avoid emotional flair ups with others is to set boundaries. This means you have to stick to the limits you set too. It will be hard to restrain yourself from arguing or snapping back with your friends or loved ones. In fact, you may even break under the emotional pressure and stress you’re putting on yourself by not expressing your inner sentiments.
June 21 - July 22
You’re holding on with all your might to friends and lovers who aren’t serving your highest and truest path. Meaning, they aren’t allowing you to be true to yourself. It’s time you did some necessary cord cutting to let go of the dead weight that’s holding you back from living your best life. Who knows? Once you close one door, another one may open (when you’ve energetically disconnected from those who aren’t at your level).
July 23 - August 22
Lately, you’ve been spending too much time with your head in the clouds and less time grounded. Your recent loftiness has caused you to skip out on important daily tasks and do the bare minimum. This week, you’re forced to step up your game and take care of the looming activities you have been putting off. Motivating yourself may be hard, but with a positive “can do” attitude you can tackle everything on your list.
August 23 - September 22
A past life connection may peak your interest this week. The only caveat is that they may not be as honest with their emotions as you hoped. Before you cut them out of your life for good, try to have a healthy conversation in which you state your feelings openly. Whether or not you decide to let go won’t be relevant — what’s important is that you spoke from your heart with truthfulness and virtue.
September 23 - October 22
Finding balance in your day has been a recent struggle. This past week has left you feeling depleted of all energy, as a result of the imbalance you’ve created. It’s time for you to implement some much needed R & R into your life. Take a healing salt bath and treat yourself to a massage. All of these self-care activities may help you to reduce stress and unwind, plus it’ll add pep to your step.
October 23 - November 21
You’re known as a creative genius, which can create tension within yourself and your professional community, as others often want to copy your ideas and claim them for their own. Don’t tell people about your artistic designs until the project is in full swing. Then, thcan’t copycat your ideas and will be left to their own devices. You may be tempted to brag about upcoming projects, hold back in order to protect your vision.
November 22 - December 21
All of the recent emotional let downs have taken a toll on your confidence. You’ve been struggling to find your place in the world for the past few months. The universe is helping you get your groove back. You’ll have to confront your shadow self which may cause you to revisit past trauma. Although it may be hard, the goal is for you to learn to love yourself 100%, which includes accepting your edgier sentiments.
December 22 - January 19
Luck may be on your side this week; however, you still have anxiety about projects not working out or coming to fruition. You have paranoia that they may not see the light of day. Your gut is alarming you to a nudging feeling that it all can dissipate at any moment. Try to meditate on the situation to see if there’s any truth to your feelings or if you are letting stress psych you out.
January 20 - February 18
Issues within your intimate relationships have been brewing for quite some time. Your peers have been acting less than moral and you don’t want the negativity in your life. This week, you’ll want to confront your friends and discuss such matters with them — which may be challenging as they’ll deny their actions. You may back down from your high horse and opt to momentarily cut them out of your life until they act maturely.
February 19 - March 20
Even though you’ve had a chill week off from work because of the holidays, you’ve still been trying to your hustle on. The issue that’s arisen as a result of your hard work is that you’ve been slacking on doing things for you. Give yourself a day to catch your breath and to socialize with your friends. Focus on the other aspects of your life equally to truly be successful and to have it all.
